'Kalamshu’ is an organisation established for promoting art & cultural development in general. We aim at preservation, presentation & promotion of art & culture of our country. Established in 2005, we have been in the art field for over a decade, having performed & organized many programs at prestigious platforms under various organizations all over the state of Karnataka & also covering Andhra Pradesh & Kerala. The present emphasis being Classical Bharathanatyam dance & Carnatic music, need based training is also imparted in other Indian classical & folk styles of dance & music. Performances by ‘Kalamshu’ group range from pure classical dance & music to semi-classical, folk & contemporary art styles. Besides cultural presentations, we engage in art education & art promotion through activities/camps/SpicMacay shows (depending on donation/sponsorship) /workshops/seminars/free educational activities/free anklet distribution/scholarships/awards.
